ABOUT

No matter how tiny you make the font and how much you tweak the margins, Tom Steel is just one of those guys with a resume that does not fit on one page. The founder of the boutique production house Sunscreen + Sawdust has produced, directed, and managed over 20 years-worth of sports, live streams, music and cultural broadcasts, & other live events (it’s a little overwhelming just looking at the list). Here’s more about Tom so you two can start getting to know each other. Highlights of Tom’s Big List, as we call it, can be found over in work.

As a former competitive athlete and an avid musician, Tom draws from hands-on skills and a well of passion to enhance top-tier projects, both creatively and operationally. A real pleasure to work with, Tom is an ego-free, dynamic professional who solves problems using strong interpersonal communication and creativity.

Tom’s decades of experience include the production, direction, supervision, & management of small- to large-scale live productions, post productions, marketing teams, production crews, talent, athletes, & artists. With his comprehensive broadcast and live stream technical skill sets, no metaphorical stone is left unturned.

Tom is known for creating deeply engaging programming and memorable live streams that catapult brand awareness and success for both client and consumer, but when he’s not producing, he pursues and lives the real life story of the shows he creates.
